<Text>The present study aimed to develop a landslide susceptibility map for Khoy County, located in West Azerbaijan Province, northwest Iran. To achieve this, a range of conditioning and triggering factors were considered, including elevation, slope aspect, slope angle, geological formations, precipitation, drainage density, degree of weathering, land use/land cover, proximity to faults, earthquake distribution, distance to roads, and distance to urban areas. For the methodological framework, the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) was employed to assess landslide susceptibility across the region. The FAHP-based model was applied to the various thematic layers, which were rasterized and integrated into a Geographic Information System (GIS) environment to generate the final susceptibility map. The results revealed a significant landslide risk in the study area, with spatial distribution as follows: very high susceptibility (22.17%), high (25.34%), moderate (13.66%), low (16.63%), and very low (22.20%). This classification highlights that nearly half of Khoy County falls within high to very high-risk zones. Given the considerable extent of susceptible areas, incorporating landslide hazard assessments into regional planning and development strategies is strongly recommended. The findings emphasize the critical need for sustainable land management and hazard mitigation efforts to minimize potential damage and ensure public safety.</Text>
